Xiaomi Sold About 1 Millions units of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8Pro.
The Redmi Note 8 series launched a month ago and Xiaomi has sold more than 1 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series phones in India. The series consists of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Redmi Note 8 starts at Rs 9,999 whereas the Redmi Note 8 Pro starts at Rs 14,999.
Xiaomi may sell more than a dozen of new smartphone models in India but its bread-and-butter earning series is the good old Redmi Note series.
Every year, the Redmi Note series from Xiaomi proves to be among the highest-selling phone series in Xiaomi's lineup. Xiaomi recently exposed the Redmi Note 8 series in India and after a month of its launch, Xiaomi has reported high sales figures for the phones.
In an official post, Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar Jain announced that Xiaomi has managed to sell more than 1 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series phones within a month of its launch. The Redmi Note 8 series currently consists of the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 in India, both being launched a month ago. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the more premium model with a gaming-grade Helio G90T chipset whereas the Redmi Note 8 is the more affordable model with a glass body and quad rear cameras.
The Redmi Note 8 is the more affordable of the two models, starting at Rs 9,999 and comes in two storage variants. The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.65-inch Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 665 chipset and a big 4000mAh battery with an 18W fast charger in the box. The highlight of the Redmi Note 8 is its premium glass body and its quad rear cameras. The Redmi Note 8 gets a 48-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro, on the other hand, is meant for gamers as it's powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. To ensure even better performance, Xiaomi has built in a liquid cooling system inside to help with heat profligacy during gaming. The Note 8 Pro also gets a bigger 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via a USB-C port.
There's also a quad-camera setup at the back but the Pro model uses a 64-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The phone also comes pre-loaded with Alexa as its main voice assistant.
